Ivy in Melody.C (Ribbon Rabbit set)

Back in March I ordered the Ribbon Rabbit skirt set and the accompanying blouse from Melody.C. The set is technically for SD-SD16 sized dolls, but the outfit is so sweet and cute that I really hoped it would fit Ivy, my DearSD Nayu, because she is also sweet and cute.

I figured the other version of the outfit, the "jumpskirt" version, was slightly less likely to fit, being a dress - and separates are more flexible, as well.

The outfit arrived today and it's a) just as cute as I hoped, and b) fits DearSD really well! Some notes:

  • the skirt ends up at slightly over tea-length on the shorter DearSD body
  • the sleeves of the blouse are definitely too long for the stubby DearSD arms, but the style (they're gathered with elastic at 3-4 points along the sleeve) means you can push them up and the ruching/poofiness looks deliberate. The lace at the cuffs will fall over the hands, but this doesn't bother me
  • the waistband of the skirt is elasticated at the back and it is a little snug over the hips, but a good fit when it's on
  • the petticoat and headdress fit perfectly; no notes!

And here are a couple of quick phone photos of her wearing everything (plus her default DearSD Nayu shoes and socks):
